Autumn in Sweden

Why do geese pull up one leg when they sleep?
When they pull both up, they fall over!

The autumn colours were starting and against that beautiful blue sky it was just stunning

Geese in the South of Sweden. Many more expected, either to stay for the winter or to move further South. I wonder whether Nils Holgersson was with them!

They tasted yummy. Very sweet.

I didn't try this one.

Natural Christmas decoration.

  1. Beautiful, Mara. I mentioned to a British bird blogger last week that I'd never seen a pink-footed goose. He said we'll see lots of them in Iceland.
Did I tell you that's where Dick wants to go for his 70th birthday? In March?
It's the end of March, but still, what's wrong with Fiji?
Iceland should be interesting, though, with the hot springs, and the volcanos and all.
If I ever reach 70, maybe we'll go to Fiji, but I think I'd rather go to Scotland.
So glad you are enjoying Norway. We would have loved to have you in Alberta, but things don't always work out that way.
    Luv, K

What a delight Mara! That last one of the leaf is particularly appealing to me - but then they all are! YAM xx

  5. Beautiful photos Mara. Of course I've started browsing from the top, so hopefully I'll find out later why you're in Sweden :-)
